H.S.H. the Hereditary Prince and H.R.H. the Hereditary Princess of Liechtenstein are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Princess Marie Caroline to Mr Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer.

The annual meeting of the heads of state, which is taking place this year in Luxembourg from 16 to 17 September, is being attended by the host, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, as well as the heads of state of Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

The Princely House regrets to announce that H.S.H. Prince Constantin von und zu Liechtenstein passed away unexpectedly on 5 December 2023.

H.S.H. Hereditary Prince Alois von Liechtenstein took part in this important meeting and called on the international community not to lose sight of climate protection in view of the many current crises. He reaffirmed Liechtenstein's willingness to make the necessary contribution.

For their annual meeting, which this year takes place from 11 to 12 September, the King of the Belgians as host was joined by the Heads of State of Luxembourg, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein in Belgium.
The main topic was "Space" and there was a very interesting exchange of experiences with astronauts from the European Space Agency (ESA).

Hereditary Prince Alois von und zu Liechtenstein, representing Prince Hans-Adam II, received Mr Markus Wallner, Governor of Vorarlberg, for the award ceremony at Vaduz Castle on Tuesday, 20 December 2022.

On 1 April 2023, Dr Stephan Koja will take over the management of the Princely Collections (LIECHTENSTEIN.The Princely Collections). He succeeds Dr. Johann Kräftner (71), who will end his operational activities after more than 20 years with the special March Exhibition "GEGOSSEN FÜR DIE EWIGKEIT: die Bronzen der Fürsten von Liechtenstein", (CAST FOR ETERNITY: The Bronzes of the Princes of Liechtenstein) but will remain connected with the Princely House through other projects and tasks.

H.S.H. Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein received Mr. Werner Marxer, long-time choirmaster and organist of the municipality of Schellenberg, for the award of the Medal of Merit at Vaduz Castle on Monday, 19 September 2022.

The honored person was awarded the Princely Liechtenstein Golden Decoration of Merit due to his special services to the country of Liechtenstein.

Hereditary Prince Alois von und zu Liechtenstein, on behalf of Prince Hans-Adam II, received Mr. Günther Fritz, long-time President of the Political Party "Vaterländische Union" as well as former Editor-in-Chief of the daily newspaper "Liechtensteiner Vaterland", for the conferral of the Order of Merit at Vaduz Castle on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

Mr. Fritz was awarded the "Commander's Cross (Komturkreuz)" of the Princely Liechtenstein Order of Merit on account of his special services rendered to the country of Liechtenstein.

The Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein, on behalf of the Reigning Prince of Liechtenstein received the following persons for the conferral of titles and orders at Vaduz Castle on Friday, 17 December 2021:

former Head of Government lic.oec. HSG Adrian Hasler: Order "Grand Cross (Grosskreuz)" Title "Princely Councillor (Fürstlicher Rat)"

former Government Councillor Dr. Mauro Pedrazzini: Order "Commander's Cross with Star (Komturkreuz mit dem Stern)"

The award was given in recognition of the special services rendered by the honourees to the country of Liechtenstein.
